Hello Maror :p

Thank you for this warm welcome..
Well, to answer your question... My attempting in movie Business was a bit complicated.. What i can say is that i'm waiting for a new Digital Camera 4K ( www.red.com (http://www.red.com) )and that i've learn a lot about a bunch of sofware lately.
You know, last year i was seek and i lost my Mum... So, after that, i've change your mind a bit. I like so much Filmsprojects but the business is down right now. Downloading is killing the source...
Anyway, tomorrow will be better...
Maror, i've seen your work around there and it's fantastic...

Hello Waheed, :)
Buddy, i've seen your work over few forums, and ... You rock as always.
And i've seen your 3D works too... Whaouu... I'm a fan..

10-10-2008, 11:38 PM
I'm sorry to hear about your loss...(i always hard for me to find the right word in english for such sitations:(), but doning art will help alot...and as far i can see, you're doing :)

Well that sounds not too optimistic...i only have some friends wich work in a small team and do shortfilms in they're freetime. But they haven't to live from it... and you seems to have (17500$ for one cam:eek:), that must be very serious business...
I hope you will show some of your progress... in whatever media it is.
And well thanks...had also some downtime inhere.

Good Luck, less piracy:rolleyes:

Great image.

Sorry about losing your mom.

And good luck on your career, in whichever form it takes. The world is changing faster and faster. Hard to know what to do sometimes. But use your vast creativity to keep re-defining yourself if that is necessary.

You're extremely talented as an artist at the very least.

Be well, my friend.

Very nice!
Did you use stencils for the skin textures? Fancy doing a tutorial?

10-16-2008, 05:14 AM
Hello MichaelW, thank you for the compliments.
Nope, i didn't use any stencils. I'll try, when i'll finish, and if somebodies are interested, to explain the techniq i used.
It's no so complicated, just patience and a lot of stroke...

Here is a close up.. (still in work)

Tuts : One of the step...

10-17-2008, 07:13 AM
Ahh, so the texture starts right in from the underpainting? chalk or crayon? I suppose it doesn't matter.

I'm always amazed just how much paper can help with giving/implying texture!
Interesting so far!

10-17-2008, 12:49 PM
Sorry about the loss of your mother.

The portrait is brilliant. Extremely good work.

10-17-2008, 01:55 PM

10-17-2008, 07:25 PM
Thank you so much for this post. I really appreciate you showing your in-progress work as well. Sorry for your loss.

10-21-2008, 06:23 AM
Hi Dismagartist, thank you for the words.
I think it's good to share.

Hi Rain11, Here is the last update.. Full of details.. Thanks anyway.

Hi Avionartrage, thank you so much. You will... :)

Hi Belvrog, Thank you for the words and the compliments.

Hi MichaelW, Chalk or crayon is not the same in my process. Crayon is for the lines, strong strokes, etc. Chalk is for adding the texture.. ;)

Beautiful and so details in the latest version, Weeks. I really love this portrait drawing. Do you really need to work on this big resolution? What is the original size? Thanks for sharing your works. It's very inspiring. :)

10-21-2008, 09:58 AM
Hello Pai, thank you very much for the compliments.
Actualy, you need a big resolution to focus on details.
You can start with a lower resolution for ex : 1024 x 768, and each version you work on, you increase the canvas... I finished around 4000 x 4000.
The problem you can have is : how the machine Pc or Mac runs with big files..?
In this last version, i used a kind of "pointillisme" technique.. A lot (A LOT) of little strokes and dots, there and there... :)
