Well, I finally finished it ... maybe. It's been crazy around here.

Hi Bob,

It's nice to see your new painting again. I saw this one in WIP and already like how you did the trees with layers in them. It must take you long time to do it. Very nice composition too. It draws you from the road to the skyline. A Golden evening in autumn. Very beautiful painting. :)

Very nice and if I might say... very Bob Ross and that is not a bad thing by any means.

Really a beauty Robert. It is even more amazing when I adjusted the gamma a bit since I am on a mac. It really looks great. You can tell the amount of work you put in on it. It's just gorgeous. Great warmth to it. :) You will be giving Jack a run for it with those golden tones. :)

Simply gorgeous!!! It was well worth the wait on this one, Robert. Such warmth and glorious detail.

You told me once when I first starting posting on the forums: if youīre on to something good, take your time and donīt rush it. Glad to see you practice what you preach. :D

This is absolutely breathtaking!!! I can almost feel the sun warming my face
as I view it. The sky is a work of art on it's own. Those varied shades of
golds, ambers and the attention to details, just beautiful. A magnificent scene.
We won't hear of any "maybe's" because this is, by far, one of your BEST. :)

Thank you all so much for your kind words and I'm so glad you like it. :)

Good to see this painting again with the gate. The darks on the side of the barn are a little too dark for this painting perhaps.

Even though the colors are in the peachy range, it has a feeling of Constable to me.

Nice work.

wonderfully painted. The warm, rich palette and striking details are
beautiful to behold. Your creative talents truly shine, this is one of my
favorites! :)

Robert, itīs great to see this one brought to our attention again! Still looks pretty good to me. :D

05-26-2009, 05:31 AM
Hey Robert, its been a while since I have been browsing the forums and seen your wonderful work. I love the trees, they are " Happy Little Tree's" like Bob's ;) .. I must KNOW! Did you just go into fine detail to get that Leaf look on the trees, or is that some kind of brush that stifles a bit.

05-26-2009, 05:40 AM
Thanks Scott. :)

Thanks Krondelo. I used the oil brush sized at 10 to 20% and 25% settings for loading, thinner, and pressure. I was still useing the mouse so it was click, move, click, move. :)

05-26-2009, 05:53 AM
Yup, that's beautiful! Very hudson river style, I think?! I love the richness, the moodiness and the "oily" substance of it! Great stuff! :)

05-26-2009, 10:27 AM
Thanks Taron. :)

06-28-2009, 04:50 AM
I can picture returning from a walk down the path after the evening milking was done. Cows are all in the barn for the night. Ah, memories.

I enjoy looking at the works of a true artist next to the "camera/tracing/color pickers" like many of mine. You get so much more depth then I ever could. A pat on the back to you. The trees are fantastic.

06-28-2009, 09:31 AM
Thank you Mary. :)

06-28-2009, 09:51 AM
