Hope you like him.:) I have one also that I applied a canvas to. Which one do you like best?

Beautiful Rain. I think that canvas works really well, because I think it adds something, it's like some additional twigs, but I like the crisp look of the bird in the first one a bit more, so overall I think I prefer the first one a bit. Anyhow great painting.

Wow! Excellent painting of all. I think this is the best of all yours IMHO. Very beautiful bird. The first one is my favorite.

Outstanding bird painting I also like the first one best. I love the sharpness of the image:)

Thank you Fraser, Sabena, Kev2grey, Pai, and Belvrog for all of your nice comments! I'm very happy you liked him. :)
I like the first one better also, because the canvas isn't showing underneath the bird... but I do like the canvas look better around him. It was another of Misterpaint's canvases btw...forgot to mention that.

You have painted "Little Blue Bird" just beautifully. The backgrounds also
compliment the subject. Both are wonderful but I would lean towards
the first entry only because the adorable bird is more outstanding on the
less textured background. :)

wow, beautoful painting......seems like a christmas picture.......oh....mentioned it too early:D

Oh blast has someone already mentioned the christmas card, fantastic paintings, the first one is my favourite:)

Beautifully painted Pam, its an adorable bird! I like both versions but agree with Belvrog about the texture adding to the overall interest.

Beautiful work. Wonderful painting. I love the textured canvas, but perhaps a compromise on the subtlety of the texture. Like a fade in the strength of it. Really gorgeous painting. Beautiful palette. :)

Outstanding Painting!! :)

I like both paintings.
The texture of the plumage is extraordinary!
But, the canvas that you added to the second work is excellent, it looks like an aged canvas.
And that makes it more interesting.

Me gustan ambas pinturas.
La textura del plumaje es extraordinaria!
Pero, el canvas que agregaste al segundo trabajo, parece una tela envejecida.
Y eso lo hace más interesante.

Dear Rain, your blue bird of happiness is really beautiful!!!! well done, i think i like the crackled textured as it adds to the feeling of the twigs and leaves and feathers,,,, very nice!!!:)

Thank you very much Lee, damasocl, Rick, GZ, Rowena, Gina, Enchanter, and Mairzie for your thoughts and helpful comments.:) I think I will try and lessen the strength of the canvas because I think it does add more to it. I'll repost when I do.

Stunningly good job on this one Pam. I vote for the first one. :)

Very nice painting of a lovely Bluebird. I have several of them in my garden. I like the first painting best - number two looks more like a stuffed bird. The background in the first painting makes the Bluebird looks alive.
