You copy the files .cpr in the folder "Canvases" in the directory of installation of ArtRage and copied the files .JPEG (of the textures) in the folder "Grains".

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx
If you have problems, you can manually load the textures.
I write you the list of reference, In this way the effects are original to the preview.

Thank you for all those presets; it will take time to try them but they seems
great to me.:)

WOW, MisterPaint! Many Thanks!
A question...
Could I use them for commercial works?
I didn't find any eula in the packages. (Presets&Stencils)

I can't use the .exe that you provide. Would you be willing to upload or send the files without the installer?

08-22-2008, 12:20 AM
ok! I send now the artragekit without the installer in my web site
And I will publish all the instructions.

I had not thought about the mac.

Hi Mister, and thanks for your efforts.

I extracted the file into the folder like you suggested but always get a window to say that ArtRage does not recognize this format... both with these and with the stencils... any ideas why?

You copy the files .cpr in the folder "Canvases" in the directory of installation of ArtRage.

Always in the folder "Canvases" you create a new folder with name "mistercanvas" and copied us the files .JPEG of the textures.

(sorry for my english...)

Hi misterpaint,

Thank you again for all this canvases ;
sorry, I have to mention that you didn't consider that we have all systems in different languages:
the" programmi" is all wright for Italian;
when I installed the canvases it was created in C your folder "programmi";
personally , I managed and there are no problems for me
but for general use it may be a problem!
Normally the png files go to grains folder and the cpr to the presets.
The canvases are really great, at least , on my taste.

I just did a "doodle" for a thanks .:)

Misterpaint....As a big user of paper grains these are just awesome , thanks a million for making them available for our use....Jack.

08-22-2008, 06:17 AM
For me it is a true pleasure :)
I hope can forgive the small errors in the publication of the packet.

08-23-2008, 05:51 AM
Misterpaint....I have been playing around with your canvases..(I have actually saved each one as a paper grain)...I did that because you can see exactly what the paper grain looks like before you actually use it,and change the size to suit the picture you are working on...I have them saved as J-peg,and they are fantastic...love them, thanks again for posting, and the errors are nothing to worry about..Iwill most definately be using them, and I am sure many members will find them very useful....thanks again.....Jack.

These are wonderful. Will download them tonight when I get home from work. Thank you.

08-27-2008, 08:44 AM
Sorry for my late response. I do appreciate you making these available for us mac users. They are a wonderful addition to the program!

I should note that to install these, I had to do the following:
- right click on "art rage 2.5" and choose "Show Package Contents"
- Open the folders Contents/Resources/Presets/Canvases
- I moved the .cpr files here
- I also made the folder "mistercanvas" here and moved the .jpg files there

I'm not sure if I needed the mostercanvas folder, or if there is an easier way, but this worked for me. I'm sure some of the more experienced mac users will let us know if there is a better/easier way.

Again... I can not thank you enough! These are amazing!

Thanks friends for the compliments http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj72/myem0/yoyocici/piggy-emoticon-024.gif

08-27-2008, 12:13 PM
OK... I made that way to hard.

An easier way would be to just load the items in the:

Users/Library/Application Support/ArtRage 2/Resources/Presets/Canvases

Either way works... this is just much more simple :)

I still am not sure why I need the mistercanvas folder with the .jpg items tho...

08-27-2008, 10:21 PM
the Italian version of artrage works also with the origin folder "mistercanvas" because the JPEG tries the directory of creation.

but to some persons it works also without the folder "mistercanvas". :)

08-31-2008, 05:59 AM
Thanks for these! What a great gift. :)

Even though the files themselves say they are exe files they load perfectly fine on a mac inside artrage program as .cpr files. I have also found the same true for color palettes. Even though they are labeled exe files they work fine on a mac as .col files inside application support folders... following the path mentioned by zerogeek.
library>application support> artrage> etc. etc . :)
Another tribute to the universal mindset of artrage programmers. Thanks.

Thank you so much for these canvasses! What an amazing piece of generosity.

Downloaded your packs and started trying them out. Pretty darned sweet. Thanks for posting them.:D

09-03-2008, 06:32 AM
i'm loving these! they're perfect. I made myself some ages ago from the swatches in Painter but these are much better and almost cover everything.

I'd love something like the "french watercolour paper"from painter : It was great with charcoal.

edit: scratch that last... there are so many canvas here I hadn't found one like it.... This is a great set!

Good stuff though. This sort of thing would be great bundled with artrage as the defaults leave a lot to be desired.

09-05-2008, 03:26 AM
Again a big thank you I cant wait to try them out:)

I've been meaning to download these for about 6 months. I actually have it on a list from last Summer, so its great to get around to it finally. Awesome that all these different Canvases, Stencils, and Sticker Sprays were made available by other users. What a great resource.

Stefano, or anyone, do these actually work for artrage 3.5 studio pro? not sure since this is so long ago.

Stefano, or anyone, do these actually work for artrage 3.5 studio pro? not sure since this is so long ago.

Sure thing they do.
Probably a bit different though, since the 3rd version had various changes for interaction between Canvas and paint, but mostly it's the same.

Can anyone tell me how to get these canvas presets to work on a mac. I put the files in the canvas folder and they show up in the Import Preset window but when I select one of them I get an error message. Thanks for any help.
