View Full Version : Geometric stencils (new added 3 Aug'08)

Hi Guys & Girls,

Been playing around with Hexagon (a 3d modeling proggie) experimenting with geometric shapes. Took one of the models into Zbrush and rendered it from different angles to come up with the attached images. They play nicely with AR as stencils.:D

Hope you find a use for them. They may not be perfect, but hey they're free;)!

PLEASE take the time comment if you like them (or even if you don't:)).

The first 3 images you see in the post are only samples, the actual images are larger. Click on them to open in your browser and then only download, otherwise they will show up as blank stencils. The last two (4 & 5) are smaller - you can save them from the post itself.

These are 800 X 800 ( - you can download and save directly from the post).

Remember, please take a moment to comment and show us what you make with them.

Those who also have Zbrush may recognize the last two (gear and star) as ZBrush Ztools. Just made them into alpha's and saved the alpha's as png's. They now work nicely as stencils also in AR.

Have fun!;)

The last two from the first 5 ones are special, if you move the image up and down, it moves around also!:) Nice, I don't know if I will need to use them but I like how it turns.:)

Hi Dany,

Glad you like them, although I do not quite get what you mean by "move around also". Please explain or show us what you mean. Maybe I (or rather you) discovered some hidden feature by accident...;) - or it may just be some kind of optical illusion...:D

Indeed, is about the optical illusion that I am speaking and is very nice, I taught that you already know it:D.
