Hey all, I bought AR a few months back and have slowly been getting to grips with it. This is my first 'properly finished' piece using AR. The oils really are fantastic to use, not that I know what I'm doing yet, but it is definitely fun slapping the paint around :)
So here he is..Zombie Portrait!

Thanks for looking! :)

Hey, from where do you know my sister?!? o_

Seriously, though... Marvelous character. He looks both very much alive and completely dead at the same time. Love it! ^_^

Very nice! I think zombies would make the perfect subject matter for anyone doing a traditional style portrait like this: They have no problem sitting still for hours on end while you work.

Reminds me a lot of the first time I saw the original Mummy with Boris Karloff in the make-up (if memory serves. I think it was him). But whoever it was, it was that craggy, dessicated face devoid of emotion . . . save for a few hundred laugh lines.

I think zombies are a good choice because they hold still really well, being undead and all. . . I prefer them when they are holding still, actually, speaking as a portrait artist and one of the living.

Excellent! Look's to me like an Ape and one of the aliens of "The Sign's" :D
