I see that is possible now to upload .col files ,
I try to upload one and see how it works.
You certainly know that there are no absolute reference of colors,
this palette is only a guide for me,
if you like to try it, you are welcome.:)

You do "s" or go in "tools" /show the colors samples panel,
then you will have a panel empty of colors,
you click on the arrow up an on "load color",
it will load the .col files that you have on your computer.
Then to make it simple:
the .col files that you download you have to put them in the file "colors" in "Resources",in Ambient Design , the file of the soft in "Programmes(fr) "on C;
you do this before and after you will be able to charge the palette from the colors samples panel.

I have to mention that you can do your own palettes:
2 ways:
with the picker , from an image reference , click on new, on the bottom of the panel.
load a palette and wright click on the colors that you don't wont and remove sample,

after that you have to save your palette on the name of your choice, this is all.
You have the names of the colors on the palettes that is wright "...names",
the palettes that I did from photos are not a reference to real pigment colors but to real life colors.

I look to and see that W&N don't have the names on it and I upload the colour file with the names on it.
You have to understand that "a color" on a chart colors represent in fact a range of colors,
then you have to make a choice, the two palettes of
W&N that I made represent the same colors but they are slightly different , I hope that you understand how this happens.
One example of a complex color:
Indian yellow: you have many different shades of it,in function of the opacity of the color, in function of the amount of pigment, this go's form a light yellow to a deep one and is steel Indian yellow.
This is why I sad that there are no absolute reference for a color .

Enjoy and let me know if is useful to you or if you have any other remarks.

Because it seems that it works OK , I send to you what is (for the moment),the best for me,OH_names it have the names on it and some time it can be useful
and a color list , which it can be probably useful from time to time,
anyway is interesting to find out the names of the colors.
I hope you will like it.:)

Hi paulie,

I am glad to be helpful,
You can also do your own palettes , for example open a huge palette with all the colors and delete the colors that usually you don't use (right click on the color, etc.)and after you make all the choices you want you have to save the file, give a name different from the initial palette.
With the right click on the color you can also give a name to the color if you don't have it already.
Welcome to the Forum and I hope we will see soon your paintings in here.:)

Thank you Hanzz, I did the picker with the great :

Custom picker utility (http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26914) done by Azathothgr , is very useful ,
I practically make pickers from all my palettes,
this can be useful for small screens also.
