Peter, what the hell?!? That's incredible! I'd say this is a rare beauty amongst cloud paintings and captures it so fantastically! Congratulations and way to go to put me to shame, hahaha! Fantastic, really! :D

Thanks everyone...............as I said this one took a long time...........part of that process was observing the sky where I am and really LOOKING not just seeing (the odd glass of whisky also helped it to sink in) and I changed the way I use the tools also...............here's another earlier try

i really hope you don't mind me asking, but could you post the cloud painting with less compression? It's so grunchy with wicked jpeg artifacts. As a little tip, you could save it out as PNG and load it into photoshop, for example, where you can use "Save for web" and go for high quality (80 - 90).

I just think it's too good for such horrible compression!

You produced the most incredible Art Rage made cloud Pete within as a protagonist in a great painting! :)

Hi Peter,

That is the best sky painting I've ever seen. You really captured it, huge volume, sense of movement but you kept it insubstantial too.
Best thing you've done, and you've done a lot of good stuff.

Another one I am satisfied with............

Thank you for all your kind comments ........ as I said these took me a long time because I looked for a long time and thought about what makes a cloud..........water droplets.......... and it suddenly came to me (through the whisky haze I think :D:D) that rainbows are also water droplets and there are a lot of colours there ....so I used all the colours that I could in their grey forms ..............and lo and behold it started to work.........I'll keep going:):)
