Hello everyone ...... :)
Use your airbrush and create a beautiful work!

Do whichever type of painting u wanna do with the airbrush ......let it be sceneries ,objects ,designs(hmm.....u really can create wonders when it comes to design....u can work on a T shirt or any flower vase or pot, masks and draw your design on it or just design your tattoo u wanna wear ...),
posters(again lots of posters can be made with airbrush for instance posters on environment, pollution, child abuse,terrorism.......u all know the list is endless),
or just draw some graffiti...with some message ,
or paint some abstracts ,
use your stensils
or just try out new things!!!

But please only with the air brush no other tools ......

I know we have so many creative heads here .... :) :D

Here I am posting some paintings done only with airbrush.

Cm'on guys,....!!!
Give it a try its FUN!!!!!
keep smiling .... :) :) :)

I am sorry if a thread exists here in Art Projects in which only airbrush tool is to be used .........then please be kind enough to inform me so that i can delete this thread!!!!

Wonderful artwork Shirly!:) You have a great thread here and I'm sure there will be alot of people submitting here soon! I will be trying something with the airbrush. I don't really use it that much but I'll experiment using just the airbrush alone soon.

Lovely painting Gioulin!:)

Nice job on IronMan!

I am tempted to paint my Honda Elite scooter with IronMan theme color.

I am open for suggestion!

Here's some drawings done for my Computer Animation class. We needed to create a creature for 3D sculpting and eventual texture and animation.

Mostly air brushes and chalks- some stencils to make sure the eyes and other features lined up properly.

Hi Shirly,
I found the air brush hard, I'll have to have a practice, I see taper length
and tilt I had the air brush as small as possible till it stopped working, for eyes and teeth and lips area, but it was still fun and that's the main thing.

The animation work great work but I wouldn't wanna bump into him on a dark night, any night or day come to think of it.
Great work everyone, I shall keep checking this thread to see what work gets added.

Been posted else where but it fits your topic so why not? All airbrush, a little pencil to hold the shape and a dot of marker to accent it......that's not too far from the guideline???

Don't ask why I did this, cause honestly I have no idea. Just seemed like something to do. This is a pic of an honest to goodness shrunken head that's on display at a museum, I believe it's in the Pitt Rivers museum.

Had to resize it, so it's 50% smaller here. Hope y'all like it.

It's all airbrush...my favorite.

all made with the air brush and a mouse.......yes....a mouse:p
i used the tracing image technique

Here is my entry, freehand, 100% airbrush, Took about 2 hours I guess. Used a photo reference.

I don't like using the airbrush tool, can someone explain to me what each setting does? Its always so soft, where is the hard airbrush, its hard to get any kind of lines with it. I'm sure I'm just a nub with artrage.

I ended up using a airbrush on 1%, it was painful! Also think my paper stock could of been better picked. whats everyone else using?

hi, Turtleman...great painting !!...I'm no expert at AR tools yet, but I'll try n help out.....you can get a 'smaller' spray by clicking on the round button in the first airbrush option...when you click it, a box with a number will open up...I set it to about '-2' or '-4' to get a really small spray...

the 'pressure' (first option) allows you to make your spray light or heavy by adjusting it....
the closer it goes to '100', the heavier it will get,,the closer to '1', the lighter it'll get.....
the second option. the 'tilt' allows you to have an 'edge' added to the spray....the closer it gets to '100', the sharper the edge will get,,,the closer it gets to '1', the more round it will get......
the third option, the 'taper length',,it makes the 'flare' wider and heavier as it gets closer to '100'....

the 'auto flow' ...when 'auto flow' is turned on, it will keep your paint flowing freely,,,when turned off, your paint will 'run dry' much quicker....

if you want a heavy 'hard', wide flow, then turn the first option up to '100',,,turn the 2nd to about '9'....turn the 3rd to '100'....it won't have hard or sharp edges, but it will be heavy.

as for canvas,,I use a variety, but most of the time I set mine to 'smooth', especially for air-brushing....

and to get 'hard', sharp lines for hair, etc,,as far as I know, you'll need to use stencils.....

hope this helps.....:)

Here is the final with the applied information I got about the airbrush, pretty real if you ask me. its not as flat as it was before.

Here is the final with the applied information I got about the airbrush, pretty real if you ask me. its not as flat as it was before.

as she said before......there is 2 ways to get hard lines

first is to play with the tilt (i don't recomend it because its so hard to control with a mouse)

and the other one is to use stencils.....i often use friskets stencils but some times i can do my own with other tools.:D

most of the time when a draw something, i don't try to give its shape in the first place. i define the shape after the highligths and shadows are done, by erasing the contours gradually to the shape i need.....(it may be a bit long but with a mouse you do what you can loll)

Ah well. The airbrush is something I never use, so really nice with with a project like this! The 1,5 hours it took me have brought me closer to the airbrush as I discovered some nice features. Great.
The image just popped out, or grew on the canvas. I didn't use any reference at all, all was done by hand on a Wacom Intuos 3 A4 (which I borrowed from a friend - I have a Wacom Graphire A6 myself).
Signing out.

A fun airbrush idea...... I had never used airbrush before this. I didn't enjoy the fact that it is harder to mix colors, make new colors, and create 'flow' (if that makes any sense).

Enjoy. :D

P.S. Looking back at the picture as I upload it, I probably should have made the hand a darker grey/black color. I will have to change that later!

I used Corel on this one-on the pc before we found Artrage for our mac. I used the masking tool, then filled in the petals with airbrush adjusting pressure and width here and there.

Just wanted to add another- hope that is okay. I love airbrushing. A pic of my son and myself seven years ago. A carbon copy of his father, except for the mustache and beard-ha. Now my son is eleven, and too big to sit in my lap-boo hoo. :(
