I'll start this thread off with a pic of a 'rug' from another post that I made in the gallery forum -
Rug Challenge! (http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13215)

If you have any rug or blanket designs to add - feel free to add your designs here.

Some inspiration may be taken from the beautiful rugs in this link:

My newest addition to this thread - still a work in progress. Could be a blanket, quilt or tile...

Lovely rugs you have made!
Interesting thread that I think folks will latch on to soon.

While I must admit I have yet to get my thread together and the project deadline is looming... :)
I at least thought you might enjoy this site:

http://www.woodworkersauction.com/Rugs/contemp1.htm

might inspire some other dyed in the wool artists out there too. :)

I associate to the praises! They're all great from both the geometric chromatism and for the textures! :)

Thank you rain for your comments and for adding your beautiful satin blanket and quilt. How did you get the satin-like effect? Did you use the tube and pallette-knife perhaps? Or sewing-machine/ needle and thread?

LOL I used only the tube and knife and of course the rulers...I thought I had used a leather texture but if I did I must have changed it back to regular paper at 50% roughness and 50% scale. The tube was 100% at 68% pressure. Thank you for the nice comment:)

You are welcome. Now you mention it, yes it does look like leather too..

Here's one just for the fun of it - the blanket looked more like a towel though and needed something else to make it more interesting...
The ball, balloons and text were added using the PhotoImpact XL programme.

Here is a teddy bear blanket:) Painted the bear and then made a stencil of it and used it on the blanket I made...I think my origianl bear would look better then using the stencil now that I think about it more.
