Yes I have tried it.
I am a beginner at animations and was recommended this programme for ease of use.
I also have PhotoShop with ImageReady which is a bit more 'technical'.
I am learning as I go along and found this programme quite simple to use.

There is an animation in this topic which i have just posted:

They did buy JASC, and this is NOT a link to the jasc site. There's an addition to the adress at the beginning. I think this is some cracked version. Take care of those things, sometimes there's some nasty code inside them !
All versions below X have it on the installation CD. Corel sells it now for some 39$ or so

I think I remember trying a trial of Jasc's animation program a few years ago. If I remember correctly it was a lot like Pencil (les-stooges(dot)org/pascal/pencil/), which is free and cross platform. I would recommend trying it out to anyone who's interested in traditional animation. Sorry about the link, but I am still working on those first ten posts.

I some 20 odd years ago remember using a GIF editor that Creative put out as free software on the installation disks for their soundblaster cards,
Now I am no artist (yet) but back then had heaps of fun with it,
I have looked for it but not tracked it down yet.
