Even though Poison Ivy is not in the official food group
category. since we are now experiencing the warm
weather growing season, Poison Ivy has been reported
as being particularly virulent this season. The reason I
agree with the finding is because I have already been
afflicted. Caution is the best approach. Hopefully my
photo will impress our valued "Food With an Attitude"
friends enough to stay indoors for the duration of the
summer and not attempt to add this three leaved flora
to your salad fixin's.

irishrose
05-19-2008, 07:25 AM
This should be on one of those 'priceless' mastercard commercials! Now who's busting a gut?? ME!!! Awesome job! :)

D Akey
05-19-2008, 07:47 AM
That's a riot!

I suppose you are the modern day Buster Keaton. . . Marzie Dotes-Keaton.

He was known both for his humor as well as his stoic face, through the most calamitous situations.

But this one is brilliant.

Er, what were you doing lolling around in the poison ivy anyway? It doesn't just attack without you invading its personal space.

Because mares eat oats, and does eat oats, and apparently little Marzie eats ivy. A Tiddly Tidy too. . .

Ergo, you and Tiddly Tidy will be bathing in calamine, mayhaps with candles and Enya playing in the background.

irishrose
05-19-2008, 07:52 AM
Ooh, that sounds good, I'll take some poison Ivy if I can lounge around in calamine with candles and Enya playing in the background. So, where do I find a patch of Poison Ivy?? ;)

Mairzie Dotes
05-19-2008, 08:40 AM
D Akey,
Thank you for the inspirational comment (i.e., brilliant) as I do
so appreciate the kind description but it also seems easy for you
to jest about my encounter with the wily weed since you are not
the one who is itching their keester off.
The killer weed invaded a row of my privot hedges, stalking me as
a predator stalks his prey. What was I to do, surrender ? I fought
the invader with my weed wacker and showed it no mercy. It
died and agonizing death and even though I am experiencing some
battle wounds, I should recover with the aid of "Farmers Friend" soap.
VICTORY IS MINE ! eh?

D Akey
05-19-2008, 09:15 AM
Riiiiiiiight. . .

Have you even seen any of the Terminator movies? Or Friday the 13th? etc. etc? Or even Rocky for that matter. . . it doesn't matter a lick how much chlorophyll's been splattered.

You merely forced the garden evil into a different plant form, into taking up a whole different strategy.

Next time it will be creeping up on you as a ne'er-do-well geranium all asking for an innocent drink of water. Oh sure. . . they can look all shriveled and brown at the edges. But don't you believe it. Not for a second. They're bloody triffids, the lot of 'em!

It usually happens thus: (are you taking notes here?) First, they do their nasty lurkin'. . . watching your daily moves for any repetitive patterns in your schedule, all the while scrying out a fatal thin spot in your garden leathers.

Then, they start sending pollen into the air -- gently -- faintly, to where you'd never even notice if you weren't looking for something in the wind.

You might first notice the itching inside the nose. . . your eyes will perhaps begin to water. . . and before you realize it, you've ended up blowing your nose raw. . .

It'll be a scratchy insider job next time, as is their wretched custom.

Watch out now, missy. . . take care. . .beware of itchy flingers. . . they're wandering all around you. . .

Beware of pollen. . . (woe woe woe. . .)

irishrose
05-19-2008, 09:33 AM
DA, that is hilarious! You have the best comments! ;)

05-19-2008, 09:50 AM
The fourth and most endowed musketeer is still missing here and drinking wine. Some girl here whispered he's got a 10 ft pole brush!
On the other side of the guinness there are a couple of cherry left behind jumping a barbed wire...

irishrose
05-19-2008, 09:53 AM
Uh oh, better let Rick know... ;)

And I KNOW Mair has not been out with her chain saw or weed wacker lately, so don't know whose cherries they could be. ;)

Hahahah!!!!!!!!!

Fine work there Irish, giving me the green paint and all. . . I sense a wee bit o' kinship, lass.

If I had any bit o' the creature in the house I would toast ya. But with it bein' so blazing hot out here, it's like we're all getting toasted, Celt or no.

You'll need no toasting from me, but I will remove my hat and bow to your artistry.

Fine work on the 4 muscatels, minus one (oy). Quite sensible in your selection of rogues. I am flattered through and through.

irishrose
05-19-2008, 11:35 AM
(Bowing deeply)

Thank you, DA... if you do find any bit o' the creature around , I'd share some with you. Could use some today. It's 78 and raining, 2 field trips tomorrow for my kids... I need a Calgon get away! ;)

I appreciate the kind comments. Still trying to get a handle on this digital work. I am a watercolorist/colored pencil artist mostly, this is all new to me. I kind of miss my watercolors. :(

D Akey,
I fear that you may be correct, I could have unleashed the
sleeping, fire breathing dragon of all that itch's and scratch's.
Your words of caution are well accepted. :)

Yes, not only did I see the movie, "The Terminator" but also
the follow up movie. I love that movie, just something about
it, was quite enamored with the story line. If it appears as a
T.V. rerun, I make a point of watching it. I don't seem to get
bored watching it. :)
Yours Truly,
Wendy

irishrose,
Words cannot describe my reaction on viewing "Who
Has the Biggest Paintbrush" entry other than I am
now on the floor, dissolving in a fit of unleashed laughter.
Awsome job, Pop! Too funny! Those brushes are verrry
large, threatening and pointed right at me. Should I run
for the hills now, get my weed wacker out to defend
myself or turn myself over to these bandits because I will
be surely outnumbered in the scuffle ? LOL!!!

Caesar,
Who is the fourth "most endowed" Mouse, errr, Muskateer
that you mention, who is absent from our current malicious
(but debonair) looking trio? :?

Juliediane,
Rashie, prickled Peas ? Tomorrow ? I can hardly wait. LOL!

Biggest "paintbrush"? This thread is getting positively risque!

Mairzie Dotes
05-19-2008, 03:53 PM
Robert,
D Akey is, no doubt the master of humor. I think I'll keep him.

Risque ? Nooooo, not here! I am sure that irishrose was not
thinking strait when she painted "Who Has the biggest Paint Brush".
She would NEVER infer such an off color message. LOL !

Hey Mairzie, the best informed thereabout and to ask to should be Rose, who cited some Nessie who did not want to "mix-up" with lassies being too shy to use his 10 ft pole!
If You don't believe it just go backward a little.

irishrose
05-20-2008, 03:19 AM
JD, that is one awesome painting with the peas, and the AR hospital... very cute! You won't get any 'rash' remarks from us! Well done, and a wonderful job at that! I am proud of you!!!

I don't want to catch any of that icky poison ivy, no thanks!

And the 4th muscatel is Rick, but he is relaxing nicely in his vineyards, as dear Caesar mentioned. I didn't say he had a 10 ft. paintbrush now, and Bob, give me a little more credit than what your shocking eye post is giving me... I resent that comment. I didn't mean anything by what I posted. At all :)

Thanks for clearing it up. When Rick's name was mentioned, the
only "Rick" I could think of was Rickie Ricardo! LOL! My bad!
Then I thought, why would Rickie Ricardo want to hang out with
our three guys. I know for a fact that Caesar, D Akey and Robert
CANNOT play the bongo drums!

05-20-2008, 09:55 AM
Ehm ... it's quite curious, but when I was a teen ager I actually played a bit a pair of bongos with my friends who knew the pentagram; whatever this may mean as a talent, at least I could keep quite well the music rhythm (nothing to do with some ladies' phenomena) ... :?

Oops, gotta go again! ;) PS It was for a medical procedure. Everything's okay. Will spring you out of the hoosegow soon!

And dear Caesar, bongos? See, I told you Mair, these guys have TALENT! ;)

Hi Robert,

Mairzie Dotes
05-21-2008, 06:40 PM
How about it guys,
Why not consider parting with some of your extra change and take
juliediane, irish rose and I to preview Hopalong D Akey's latest
"shoot 'em up" movie at the Paramount ? (why do I only hear the
sound of crickets chirping?)

D Akey
05-21-2008, 08:04 PM
Why I'd be right powerful honored to take such lovely modems. . . er madams, I mean maiduns. . . youse dames to the picture show.

The crickets you hear are from me opening my wallet, fierce wild west poker player that I am.

We'll have to pool our money, and send somebody in who will open the fire exit so we can all get in after the lights go out. . . that is, if'n I recalls my misspent youth correctly. I think ma knocked a couple gallons from my hat over that one.

irishrose
05-21-2008, 11:35 PM
DA, so eloquently put, I accept the invitation.

I am NOT a senior member, someone is playing a prank or we all just entered that movie where the people are in pods (I forget the name), but they are young people in old people's bodies... I think the Body Snatchers. Well, unfortunately I FEEL old! ;)

Bob, ROCK DRUMMER! You are up there with my hubby, he also played 70's rock music... in college. Maybe we *gulp* ARE seniors! Blah...

JD, I would have liked some drinking and drugs yesterday. They still available?? haha (just KIDDING!) Vitamins are more like it and a good night's sleep!

You guys CRACK me up, and I'm not even an egg!

juliediane
05-22-2008, 01:47 AM
wow Irish......lots of drummers around us. My husband played drums in England through the 70's up until about 1985. But I think he was in Japan in the 80's. He still has a set upstairs and can drive a person batty. LOL

Hmmmmmmmm....... picture just popped in. LOL

irishrose
05-22-2008, 02:58 AM
JD, oh my gosh, we're surrounded, and what's worse is my husband has an ELECTRONIC drumset in the LIVING ROOM! Oy! This, along with two guitars, one electric, and a yamaha keyboard and computer. Next into the den is a BIG SCREEN Surround sound TV ... I escape to my room, this is my quiet time, and my AR time! ;)

yes, drugs are necessary.. now! ;)

Caesar
05-22-2008, 05:03 AM
Well, dear senior fellow mates, to cheer up this old folks' home should we go asking who's able to play other kind ot instruments? LOL
Where's Mairzie today? Is she practicing withs drums too?

D Akey
05-22-2008, 05:28 AM
My son played drums, and I paid for the lessons. Does that count? He was in drum line too, where there were very few 'other than drums' instruments. A really loud drill team sort of affair that had a theatrical performance spin.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers was a good guess, but if you were after the kids in old bodies, Cocoon might be more on that old farts in Florida theme.

Plus, I will go on record as not yet being a senior, depending if we're gaguing by my tax form or a Denny's restaurant menu. If I can force myself to recall my age, I'm on the brink. . . I think. . .

Mairzie Dotes
05-22-2008, 06:24 AM
I play spoons, does that count ?

I think I read about your first husband on a post office wall: ViolaTed.

Yeah. He's known to leave women with no song in their heart and no strings attached to their viola. Sorta spoils the musical effect, don't ya know.

Heartless bastard.

But I can see you opted for a man with brass.

YUMMMM and OUCH !

Seriously, this pig is exceptionally well painted.
Love his "expressive" eyes and why not with
that skewer embedded in his nether region. LOL! :D

Caesar

Thank You Mairzie! :D You mean the smoking roasted pork?
Actually the subject was the apple! LOL
Once I had the idea, this painting was easier than it seems. Since it had not to be that much realistic or experimental, it actually took less than 45 minutes (pencil sketch, oil colours and felt pen to finally ink it)! ;)

Mairzie Dotes
05-23-2008, 07:41 AM
Caesar,
Your talent is amazing! A quickie sketch takes me
two hours!!! :(

I could not help but concentrate on pig instead of
the Apple subject. I hadn't eaten when I viewed
your painting for the first time and was starved!!!
I was so hungry that I could have eaten Hopalong
D Akey's horse. (as well as pig)

Waaaaaalllll pardon me, there little missy. . .

But ya dassn't eat Old Paint as readily as you eat ArtRage paint, 'less'n ya take to carting me on your back to my appointed deeds of daring do, puttin' the Wild West in order.

Yo!

Caesar, you uncovered the fourth muskatel!

Our stout fellow just needs a little more practice sheathing his rapier. He lacks a certain panache and flourish, not to mention accuracy.

Makes the team suffer. His shame is all over his face.

I'll not stand next to him during the "all for one" bit. He can poke an eye out with that thing. . . or worse.

Nice cartoon. Very well done. Lots of feeling.

Oh brother, go away for a day and miss all this! Geesh, I have not had much time on the computer today. And yeah, right.. Caesar, the subject was NOT the apple.. there is no skewer in any part of that FRUIT. Maybe some other fruit. ;)

Oh Mair, you are SOO funny with the band thing and DA... you're pretty good with the rhythm...

JD, you play an instrument too? Oh my, we have a whole orchestra here. I don't play anything except on the computer. ;)

Very cool, Cheese with a Ninja star inside. My kids would love this one! :) They throw them against the palm trees here in Florida. Scary stuff though. I would hate biting into a piece of that cheese! ;)

Great artwork though, aside from the razor's edge. :)

DA: Forgot to say thank you for reminding my Alzheimer brain that it was indeed Cocoon.. for sure. I wish it were on again, I loved that show. ;)

Thanks irishrose,

The ninja stars in the cheddar are actually razor blades. It was supposed to be meant as a play on words (a pun of sorts), since many people like sharp cheddar. ;)

.KFC.
05-23-2008, 01:02 PM
I thought it was emotional and it was like who cut the cheese?

irishrose
05-23-2008, 01:25 PM

That's a funny idea, Someone.

It makes me cringe a little, the idea of blades in food though. . .

But I suppose there is some strange poetic justice, having baited a few hooks with Velveeta cheese over the years.

Really good rendering.

After doing D Akey's horse in, I had to acquire the sharp skills of

Now there's a guy who would never complain about rain at a picnic --

Stand aside for watery Melonman!
your fruity neighborhood eco-hero, avowed enemy of the thieving ant, who mysteriously travels from melon to melon, appearing where most needed to eat up the food left when picnicers suddenly flee because of rainy weather. He uses his super accuracy to throw at great distance trash into the proper receptacles (for the three point shot).

Yes, it's watery Melonman!!!!

Brilliant, Mairz! Rare shot of him. Rush it to the Daily Planet. :D:D:D

Hey Mairzie Pan, (addressing the cook). . .

I tried steaming veggies in my pressure cooker. Overshot the mark by a lot. Mush is the word. Still tasted fine. Just touch it and it falls apart -- not how I loke my veggies. I'm a little more on an al dente guy. (Fine for soups but not so good for side dishes.)

What's the trick? By the time it began to hiss, it was pretty overcooked (my bad). How do you time it so you get the good use of a pressure cooker vs. just steaming?

RobertSWade
05-28-2008, 03:56 PM
If I may weigh in here. Without ever having tried it, it just seems to me that pressure cooking veggies is like fishing with hand grenades.

http://cgi.ebay.com/10-OVAL-Bamboo-3-pc-Steamer-Set-Two-tiers-And-lid_W0QQitemZ130225008585QQihZ003QQcategoryZ20672Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I don't think I'd even consider it unless I was wanting to do at least a pound of taters and/or carrots. And even then I'd do it without any weights on the steam vent.

All of that assumes that you're cooking for immediate consumption. Canning is a whole other discussion. :)

Mairzie Dotes
05-28-2008, 06:08 PM
Robert,
Like "Fishing with hand grenades" ? Busting a gut laughing here !!!
Love your whimsey ! :p

Pay him no mind, D Akey,
Not sure just how long you are pressure cooking your vegi's,
an hour is way tooooo long ! LOL ! No wonder you are
ending up with mashed "Pocarrots" I also prefer them al dente.
Just a minute or two is all that is necessary. Also, do not cut
the vegi's in too small of pieces. "Chunky" cut pieces or the
whole vegetable should be the preferred size to steam. Let me
know how you do with these suggestions, oh great "pressure
steamer of the range" ! :D

RobertSWade
05-28-2008, 06:33 PM
Let us open our Holy Hand Grenade Book of Pressure Cooking and turn to the Epistle of Saint Julia Childs wherein it is written that "Only the most rotund of veggies (whole artichokes, potatoes, beets ... and therein and likewise) shall be allowed to cook for 15 minutes. And 15 minutes shall be the maximum cooking time, and the maximum time for cooking shall be 15 minutes. Neither shalt thou cook for more than 15 minutes unless thine veggies be reduced to mush and rendered unto soup ingredients. Fifteen minutes shall be the cooking time and the cooking time shall be 15 minutes. Sixteen minutes is acceptable if you have loose dentures. SEVENTEEN MINUTES IS RIGHT OUT!!!"

"Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

Ms. Pan, is not only a great kitchen Pan (sorry Peter), she is also my favorite Child (sorry Julia) (who never grew up), not to mention my food heretic of choice.

When I want hell fire and cayenne, I refer to the Book of Bob.

And JD takes more of a peaceful Ghandi approach -- she just lets is be. She uses no pressure whatsoever.

Actually, I think we're all in agreement about how we like out veggies to turn out, not overcooked. It's just that in the pressure cooker, if I don't need to worry about getting it hot enough to hiss, then I ain't got a pot to hiss in.

(Gasping for air as I rise to the surface to catch a breath while hunting gators in the Florida bogland, rising all pruny skinned but still alive, knowing there is one big 8 footer on my trail, so I only have but a minute before I have to swim really fast lure him into the "net of doom" whilst the fryer is being prepared for another batch of those delicious batter dipped gator wings)..

Sorry for being away so long y'all. My comcast server obviously had a mind of its own lately and has decided that ArtRage email is not good enough to put through, could you write a letter to your Congressman about that?

Mair, you're welcome to come to the restaurant any time... don't doubt the flavor of gator till you tried some.. mm, mm.. I may have to partner up with KFC and we'll keep the slogan... finger lickin' good! ;)

Dear, Dear, Dear Lee,
So glad that you are enjoying the Cracker Jack
Bunny photo but I'd prefer seeing D Akey on the Leno
show one evening. He much funnier than a crunchy
treat with some nuts stuck to him, eh? :D

Waiter! There's a fly in my soup!!!

HAHAHAHAHA. . .

You're a master of the sight gag. Just about blew my coffee through my nose at my monitor.

Very amusing, Robert.

D Akey,
HAHAHAHAHAHA and then some! You are the master of
whimsey. Letterman or Leno must consider having you
on as a "regular". Your blowing coffee out the nose feat
would receive top billing. :D

And Robert, I'm not blonde, but I just figured out what the "fly" was... oy! So now I know why there is coffee coming out of DA's nose! Geesh! I have tea, thank God and I wasn't sipping at the time! :)

bisky,
A warm welcome to you and it's great to
have you here. :D

Just as irishrose aptly stated, "Food Face" is

are looking forward to seeing more of your

irishrose,
You just figured out what Robert's soup "fly" was ?
Please don't keep us in suspense, if it isn't a fly
then what is it, a cack ball possibly? (Ohhhhh, my
sides are hurting from the laughing again!) :D:D:D

irishrose
06-17-2008, 11:15 AM
LOL, I didn't realize it was a FLY zipper! I thought it was a real fly swimming and causing a wake behind it. DUH! Okay, maybe I have blonde in my genes.

What is a cack ball?? ROFL

bisky,
I just noticed your new avatar, so cute!:)

It's hot here in Pa. today. Possibly irishrose will consider
painting up another refreshing ice cream cone so I can
cool down. Weed wacking is a temperature rising job! LOL! ;)

irishrose
06-23-2008, 06:37 AM
Mair,

No ice cream cones today, have to get the kids packed for a trip to PA first thing Weds. They are coming to your house (LOL), just kidding!

Thanks for doing the test for me.. and PLEASE be careful weed wacking! PLEASE!!! BTW, Haven't you been doing that for weeks? Are you doing the whole neighborhood?? Geesh, you REALLY need an ice cream cone! ;)

Mairzie Dotes
06-23-2008, 06:49 AM
irishrose,
If the kids are coming to my house for a visit,
you best whip up some ice cream cones fast.
Knowing your kids, they will want something
refreshing when they get here, and I don't
mean more "Creamed Pea" ice cream. LOL! :D

irishrose
06-23-2008, 08:20 AM
Mair,

They definitely won't eat the creamed pea ice cream, I can tell you that much! After a long drive, though, they will need refreshment! LOL

want2paint,
This is one of the most well decorated, delectable, mouth
watering cakes I have ever seen! Are you certain that you
aren't a professional pastry chef in disguise? Dark choclate is
my passion in dessert flavors and you have captured it's very
essence. It may be too good to eat but I can't promise not
to follow my instincts and lick my monitor screen. LOL! :)

Hi there! We would love to see "popsicle" but
was in Kidz Korner and couldn't seem to find it.

Why don't you consider also posting it here so
that we all can easily enjoy viewing your painting.
You are welcome to do so. :)

"very basic", it looks mouth watering
DELICIOUS! This ice cream bar is my

Ok...so I actually did this drawing about a month ago, for a mate of mine who was planning on going to a Fancy Dress party, as a sausage! But I think it could fit quite nicely into this thread, while I work up a more specific one...

LuverofHorses1,
Dixie is just adorable! Too cute for words.

Dany51,
Ohhhhh, this is just beautiful, Dany! So
imaginative and expressive. Love the
image format and luscious colors that
you use here. Makes me want to run

and well done! :D

Hope to see even more of your
paintings and thanks for sharing! :)

Dany51,
Your additional two "framed" paintings are
absolutely exquisite. Those beautiful frames
complete the paintings with flair. Why don't
you consider posting at least one of them in
the regular "gallery" section. They are so
lovely that all of the Art Rage members would
enjoy viewing them. Well done! :D

Wow! This is yummy wonderful! You really have
a talented gift of using colors, creative whimsey

Dear bisky,
You are not too weirdy far off. There is nothing I like better to snack on
than a fresh g.z. victory garden salad, a crispy around the edges chicken
leg, Koi pond caught Sardines and some crunchy pickles for desert as we
dine while enjoying a soft background mandolin melody played by our
resident musician, the accomplished maestro Caesar. Good food, good
music, what more could we ask for. We think alike. LOL! :D :D :D

Dear icebox23,
I am so happy to hear that there are two of us that are are laughing until
the tears flow today. I am still laughing my bloomers off over Super Boy
Tano Nano Caesar's latest Alien painting in "Gallery". An enterprising
sponsor should consider making a T.V. series using Art Rage as the focus
for our members demented but endearing humor. It would be a "rolling in
the aisle" success! :D :D :D

P.S.
Time permitting, we would love to have you to consider creating
and posting one of your own imaginative paintings here, all the
more reason to keep the laughter flowing. It is so nice hearing from
you and am happy to hear that you have "cried your eyes out" over

Hi again icebox23,
Gee whiz and golly gee I meant that you could always consider posting
another of your unique paintings here. You may have noticed that our
jolly visiters have posted more than one, there are NO LIMITS!! D Akey
could always newly appear as, let's see now . . . ahhhh, hmmm, how
about a chicken leg smothered in Robert's "less acidy" B.B.Q. sauce?

Hi silvercat,
Ohhhh and yum! This unwrapped chocolate bar is scrump-de-licious!!!
The detail is wonderful and in particular the embossing on the top of
the bar itself, the moon, figure and stars! Wow! Did that surface from
your own imagination? Such a unique, personal touch, just love it. :)
Thank you for spending the time to submit this creative addition and
we hope you will consider posting even more delectable paintings.
Well done! :)

silvercat
08-09-2008, 11:28 PM
Thanks for your welcome, Mairzie Dotes..
I must admit, that the surface of that chocolate was not from my imagination... I had the tempting sight of that chocolate in front of me.. (though it didn't look quite the same afterwards:D )
The cute little boy in the moon, with the oriental touch is the symbol of a chocolate brand that is well known here in Germany, but supposingly not in the US, it is called "Sarotti". One of my favourites :p, and it was because of his appearance, that I thouhgt there is some "attitude" about this chocolate, so I painted it. (Besides, of cause, my own attitude to chocolate, that you can see (hopefully, though not very well painted) in the shadow of my hand coming back from the right side...:o )

Mairzie Dotes
08-10-2008, 03:25 AM
Hi again, silvercat,
As it turns out you and I both love chocolate and you made me laugh
when you said that you hinted of devouring the tasty treat directly after
you painted it. If that had been me you would have only seen half a bar
as the finished painting. LOL!

I really appreciated reading your story, the origin of the Sarotti chocolate
bar, a favorite in Germany and it's adorable trademark image of the little
boy, so interesting and no, have not seen Sarotti chocolate sold here as
yet.

Here's wishing you a lovely day and please do not be a stranger. Would
love to see more of your "FOOD WITH an ATTITUDE" paintings. It is so
nice to meet you! :D

silvercat
08-10-2008, 11:26 PM
LOL.. I know..by now, I think more than a half of that chocolate bar has vanished ;)
I'll love to post some more food-paintings, it's an interesting challenge..
Only I don't know if I will be able to do so before next week, as on wednesday, I will be going on a short holiday to Berlin, to visit my aunt and uncle. I suppose I won't have access to the internet at their house, so I will just paint some things and post them next week.
Anyway, this thread is one of the nicest in the forum, and food is good stuff to practise, without the problem of having to search for reference..(as I said in a different posting, I love to paint the sea, but unfortunately, it's far away from where I live..)

Have a nice sunday, all of you!

juliediane,
Foul, foul! These pickled pickles look like they have lost sight of the goal
post due to a way too long mood altering soak in fermented brine juices.
Their dilated eye balls are a dead give away. LOL! What a fun painting,
julie and thanks for submitting it. This team may not win this game but will
definitely end up on the Letterman show next week as the next hit comic
act. What fun. LMOTF! :D

P.S.
Julie, Are these team mates garlic dills or sissy gherkins?
