I sat down without a single idea of what to draw, just that I wanted to work with oil. This piece is made just with the brush and palette knife, adding and smearing colours as I saw fit without any plan at all. As you can see, the result is a rather twisted and nonsensible mix of colours and strange imagery.

Let me know what you think...

An appropriately named dreamscape. Fascinating. :)

Wonderful and fanciful -- a hybrid concept between inner and outer. Outer space and the world of the microorganism, as interpreted in an outer painting through the unconscious.

Consciousness rendered alla prima.

Very groovy.

Very trippy painting. Interesting.

The painting is wonderful rich of colours and ideas. It reminds me Chagall! :D :D
I think though that You forgot an M, Morpheus (the god of sleep and dream). Unfortunately You got Orpheus, the unrivalled musician who tried to rescue his wife Euridice from the underworld. :)

I do know the difference between those two as I used to be an avid reader of greek mythology in my youth.

I might be rusty, though... I thought Orpheus was a poet, not a musicial. But please correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Sorry, I was mislead by "dreamscape" and thought to Morpheus.
Orpheus was a musician (he played the lyre from Apollo) and a singer. He was a poet too, if You wish, since the text of his songs was his creation.
Glad to know we share the same passion for mythology (I had since I was a child and not only for Greek-Roman one).
