Learning from Frazetta (3 steps)

Thank You, dear Cyenobyte! Figures would require a little more time and more attention and much to refine on the background too, but this excercises will contribute to my improvements in my imaginary fantasy paintings.

I feel some significant affinity with Frazetta, maybe because we both used to eat pasta and maccheroni since our early days ...

So here's the third step. Most of it is fixed now. The delicate parts here are only the horse head and, to a less extent, the girl's head.

Frazetta's art work is one of the reasons I started to read the fantasy works of Robert E Howard (Conan, King Kull, Solomon Kane, etc)....

As curious as it may sound, I found in Frazetta style not only the skills developped by so many great American illustrators, but also some Italian classical paintings echoes he may have got in his initial fine art lessons in Brooklin (once Broccolino for our emigrants who established there).

Flashman at the Charge. I love this book cover. Funny story. Frazetta typically fixed portions of paintings that he didn't like when he got them back from the publisher. In the original book cover, the girl's hair was different, as well as there being a few other things.

This looks like a great bit of work, Caesar ... keep it up!
