ive been studying so painting a few minutes here and there,over the last few weeks, but i got xmas holidays, hopefully i'll have a few hours here and there.

Looks great so far... lots of detail in the dragon's head. Is his body going to be the same?
How are you going to make the head and neck look rounded? All of that texture is beginning to appear flat.

ldifraia: this pic is going to take some time, im hoping to do the rest of the body and picture as and when i get time. I realised it looked flat, so i put some shadows and highlights in

might have to colour correct it,
and move the body back a bit for a longer neck....

Interesting Dragon. I quite like it. Has a few different styles going. The head is nicely detailed and sorta tight. The body is loose and arty and very very nice and the wings different yet. Any one would be a great painting style should you choose to go there later in other paintings.
My personal favorite style of them all is the body style. Has a brightness and liveliness to it the color and markmaking. Very artistic.
The poor biped seems to be getting lost he's so dark. But he's ripe for rimlighting if there's a little bit of flame coming from the dragon's mouth.
