My new portrait I am working on.

Good start!
Take care of the shape of the eyes though. Right now they are still a tiny bit lemonshaped. follow the contours of the eyelids carefully. I will be visiting more, this looks very promessing!

here is another update I still have a long way to go and only getting a little while spare at the minute so I will post as regularly as I can.

I have done some improvements but she still doesn't look right to me so any advise as to what it might be would be appreciated Or am I being to critical

I'm not sure how much you are wanting to replicate the reference photo. If that's what you want, a few highlights in the hair to give the "spotlight" effect might be in order. Personally, I prefer your version,
minus the spotlight.
Possibly a little thicker bangs? Other than that - I don't see anything that needs to be changed/improved. Looks great to me!
