Oriane, I am at a loss for words ....having just spent time looking at your crowded alley painting, which is such a celebration of life, I then opened this one. The contrast between the two is so strong and yet there are the similarities: confined spaces and a feeling of intimacy, your recognizable technique, blacks and reds, etc. This one is anything but a celebration: poignant and thought-provoking.
For me, your work always evokes strong emotion.

I just can't flip by one of your paintings, I am always caught looking into it, spending time with it, and marveling at your ability to slowly draw the viewer
in, and then keep the viewer mesmerized. I always feel like there is so much to learn by looking at your work. Absolutely compelling my friend.

Oriane... Fantastic! Truly you are a master of color and value and space. I don't think you do art... I think you are art. You are a great abstract expressionist to rival any out there. You could seriously command some large money if you had a mind to translate in traditional medium your recent inspiration.

Conflict ~
In the grey, slumber shadows he lurks ~
Eyes shielded from the light, he hides ~
Another dark journey to take ~
Forbidden dreams, too alluring to forsake ~
But to only sleep longer and savor ~

Wow ... and hope I didn't travel too far on the wild side but this riveting
painting evoked the above poem. Chilling, deep and emotional is this
gripping abstract. Exceptional in it's creative and artistic dark beauty!
