Cool experiment.

I think the color and values are really nice. I think there could be a little more interest. There's not much to hang on to, unlike the lighthouse.

Theres a difference between leaving something up to the imagination and making the viewer do most of the work. This one has the feeling that a mere filter was put over a picture, so the real image is being obscured rather than revealed in some particular clever or artistic way.

But honestly the colors are quite excellent and I would love to see the painting that was made from this palette.

After having it on my screen all day I can't see it as a finished product. So I'll put it away for now as a background and see what I dream up for it. I do like the idea of using it as a palette ... never would have thought of that. Just call this version up as a ref image. :)

well a few brush strokes to define areas wouldn't hurt for sure. Gain some interest. The colors are wonderful though.
