It's always a wonderful treat to see the process another artist goes through when they are creating their piece and this is no exception. What a wonderful job! I wouldn't have thought the initial picture you posted would have an end result like this. It's so amazing. This is very stunning from concept to finish.
05-17-2006, 12:51 PM
Something amazing out of almost nothing. Amazing!
05-17-2006, 04:24 PM
Weeks- This is awesome! Very interesting character I love the hat. I don't see you as following me, it's more like we're skiing the same slope and cutting through fresh powder watching each other jump and flip in this amazing ArtRage playground. When I see you soaring it quickens me, spurring me on, very inspired.
05-17-2006, 04:33 PM

And her face is alsoo brilliant, huge amount of personalty!
Go on and keep smiling (i hate the weather in switzerland at the moment!)

It looks like an album cover!
i wont be suprised if a record company snaps up this picture!
05-17-2006, 09:32 PM
I hope this reads as I intend -- it is supposed to be positive!
I am amazed at the progression from what seemed like a chaotic young child's scribble to something that looked purposeful, but, to my eye, did not hint at the final peice, into, ultimately, a well composed and interesting peice.
Thank you for sharing all the steps. Perhaps with enough talented folks sharing their own artistic work processes, one of them will click for each of us!
When I saw your 1st scribble in this topic I laughed a lot. But not because it was stupid (although it was ,)) but because I knew it's just a game with art and of course with us. And I knew that this will be an awesome piece when you finish it... So finish it! It's great! Funny & professional. I would describe it with this 2 words.
05-20-2006, 02:23 PM

This is fantastic stuff. All the more interesting for watching it start from a scribble, and progress into this fantastic artwork.
Really neat to see!
 Bloody amazing, excuse my french Weeks. Can't find the right words to describe how wonderful and imaginative your painting is becoming. As for the detail WOW and more WOW. :) Regards,Tony
Okay, I'm jealous. My scribbles never turn out like that. Great fun watching this piece evolve. Clever!
05-23-2006, 05:45 PM
Weeks, (at first i thought about an amount of time) your work is how shall I say... impressive!
05-25-2006, 02:38 PM

Using a black border helps to intensify the colors and draftmanship.
08-27-2006, 01:24 PM
Hi everyone, back from holidays (From Tunisia... ouf... Very hot !)
Sosuke, Enchanter and Ingie, thank you very much!
I'm coming back on a old "job", still in progress and done entirely with AR.
08-27-2006, 02:40 PM
hi weeks... nice to hear your back here!
Hope your holidays were also nice not only hot...
nice to see you have the ambition to make an finish a older work...
look quite good and special.
08-27-2006, 03:19 PM
It's simply stunning to see the progress in this. Very amazing, you are a true great artist.
08-27-2006, 05:18 PM
Weeks- So glad you're back. I hope you had a great holiday. This is among my favorite images from you. It has more magic for me than the military stuff. This is also IMHO the most suggestive of a compelling story.
So is it finished? Can we have a hi-rez version for our desktops?
08-28-2006, 07:11 PM
weeks........I am very impressed.......I am now following this with greater interest......very good work....Jack.
08-28-2006, 08:54 PM
excuse me maam , you have a bee in your bonnet!
09-08-2006, 05:27 AM
The progression with this was so fun to watch! You seem to have a really free way of building things up.
09-08-2006, 06:35 AM
Nice image and work process.
I hope that you dont feel bad but i have made test slide-show program and i take you paintings and made show with music. Also it is nice to see your painting process step by step with slide-show.
Wonderfull image and backround.
I put this show to my web-page to see.
ps. Weeks. I work my webpages and make changes this autumn that my artshow/slideshow.htm pages. And i think that i make one new page where is things, -how to draw with computer-examples.
Is it possible to put free that cathy.html process slideshow that my final webpage to show that how can paint with computer? If it is ok, then note me. If not, then note also, and it is ok for me.
And if you dont want that this cathy-show webaddress is in this page, i remove/delete it.
My thought is that everyones image is own propertyes so i dont want to made things without your mind of this.
edit.10.9. change that page address to right one.

Heikki :  i'm very proud about your "initiative".
It's a very good idea, and that way we can see an example about how to create a picture, a painting.. A kind of tutorial..
I give you my real name : Eddie Charles Rosemond - if you want to mention it.
I don't see any prob if these examples can motivate "vocations" specialy with artrage..
Dave : it's true, i like to concept and build up things, arts or music, and of course paintings or illustrations.. But in that case, Artrage helps me a lot !
Enchanter : mouhahahaha
Jacktar : thank you very much for the compliments.. 8)
Fashmir my friend : thank you for all. My holidays were not so exiting (to hot) but it was a good occasion to be with the family and my kids..
About the paintings, i have to tell you that i'm working on a movie project.
Better, i'm working on a short movie with "Kate" and a long one with the military characters... But i'll tell you more when i'll be ready..
Soon, i'll be finish the Kate hi-rez version. It would be an honor if Kate could stay for a while on your desktop...
Hanzz : don't say that, you are a very great artist too, and i'm sincère..
Maror : it's a pleasure to read you. My holidays, as i said, were very, very hot... Impossible... pouah.... :x

10-08-2006, 10:36 PM
Nice tut 8)

10-11-2006, 10:04 PM
just got back from a short break so am seeing this for the first time - mindblowing! To go from a scribble to the finished artwork has just blown me away. Inspirational and utterly depressing at the same time - I can see what can be achieved but realise it is beyond my limited grasp.......
10-12-2006, 01:53 AM
Hehe...So THAT'S what they mean when they say "She has a Bee up her Bonnet"?
