Thanks to Neil's beautiful photos, this is my try at one of them.
All on one layer and all is done with the wc brush other than the tree, it was done with a sticky brush brush :D

justjean,
Just love the silhouetted growth that frames the overcast sky. The
grasses and trees look like the real thing. Mood driven and well painted. :)

P.S.
Would you be kind enough to let me know what a "sticky" brush is? :)

Mairzie just right click on the preset thingy and a list of brushes will appear , I think I used the one called bush for the tree :p

justjean,
Thanks for the information. Thought you may have used one of the
"sticker" choices but when you mentioned "sticky" thought there
was something new added. Either that or one more possibility ... you
could have used a half licked "sticky" lolly for a unique brush effect. ;) :D :)

You got the usual palette of nature, very similar to classical oil paintings too. Congratulations for this amazing artpiece, dear mate!

This is beautifully done Jean! Lovely scene!

Thanks for the lesson also...I had no idea those brushes were there!! I just may experiment with other paints also besides Pastel (Chalk). There is a very interesting selection!
