Bumble...Both these paintings are very good....I like the angle of the shot in the first one because it shows good reflection in the water... which you have managed very well... and the second as Fashmir says Has a Very moody atmosphere....and I love the silhouette Bison...Excellent work.... Jack.

Dear Bumble, all of these are excellent works, I don't mean others are not good, but you did your best with the second one, that bison painting, in my opinion, and lighting is excellent in third one.
Greetings Bumble.

Contrasted against the sharp shapes of the sillhouette.

My first reaction was, oh neat, a wood duck. But that is not a wood duck at all. What kind of duck is this?

Ah, a Mandarin Duck

Really great color. That duck looks soft and downy. And the green of that water looks pretty universal. Never would want to swim in it. But the duck looks happy.

Your paintings here have a unique technique and application of paint.
I would start a collection of individual files with these paintings exported in bmp or jpg format. Then I would find a greeting card program such as Broderbund Print Shop Deluxe, Cosmi, or Hallmark Greeting Cards. I would import these images into that program and add the appropriate font styles that accentuate the artwork to create your own greeting card designs.

Beautiful, wonderful natural work, your love of wildlife shows through, keep doing more, you are well on your way to an adventure of a lifetime of happiness. Without even knowing it, quite possibly, just one of your wildlife pictures, may be responsible for saving animals somewhere on this planet. As artists, we have the power to create a change, and make a difference, that alone is something to be proud of. Good work Bumble, and all the best.

note:
My dad who past away last year, loved wildlife, here's one of his pictures just for you.

This is just gorgeous, Bumble! I think this is my favorite so far of all in this thread. Of course I've always been a little partial to cardinals. :)

Do you mind my asking a trade secret? Did you do the snow with the glitter? It's really fantastic.

Mouse
12-21-2006, 05:16 PM
Yes, bumble, the snow is fantastic. Love the technique.

Bumble

Wow! I can see all your prior art synthesizing. . .from the flowers to everything else.

Nice detail! I particularly like the edge of the crystaline snow -- something that I might just put in a much more simple blob. I have not been around snow enough to know its different looks.

And of course the direction of the feathers in the bird is quite lovely as well.

Excellent Bird, love the soft white snow, but what's more important is that you're still adding such wonderful pieces of art, to your Wildlife portfolio. Your work's showing further signs of improvement with every new creation. Never stop releasing the beautiful art you're holding inside of you. Each one is a perfect creation, of your own making.
A friendly hello, from Randy.
