Does anyone here in kiwi land know where i can find a better tablet than the one o got from dick smiths
I really want something better
i've looked on the web but not sure what i'm really looking for. :D
and not something thats going to cost my $1000's lol

Well Im not in kiwi land but Wacom is the way to go if you can afford one.
The Graphire is great and its Wacom's cheapest quality ones:-

Cripster, you may find benefits in the Wacom Graphire that is Bluetooth cordless. You still have to plug in a power cord to recharge it occasionally, but if the cords complicate your usage of the tablet (I saw your photo of your seating arrangement), then this could be an option.
You can be farther away from the computer without anything to get tangled. I have a bluetooth keyboard, mouse and tablet, and I love being able to use the computer without being tied to it at the length of the cords.
Also, I like its hard clear plastic surface better than other Wacoms-- it doesn't attract as much dust as the soft tracing-layer versions. It has a holder for the stylus along the top so it won't get lost.
