A rough internet photo of one of my childhood heroes fine reworked with ArtRage. I found the composition, colours and setting of Catweazle in a bathtub marvelous enough for making an ArtRage painting. Painted in full oil brush but also a little bit knife to smoothen some little face and body parts a bit. Preserved for next generations. An illustration says more than a thousand photo pictures... Enjoy it!

Funny coops. Btw I find Yorkshire and Cumbria typical areas where such catweazle-types could live. These counties are soo distinctive and sometimes spooky due to the moisty, foggy, drizzly weather. I've been to the Lake District and Yorkshire many times walking the mountains. For me Great Britain is the nicest and most distinctive country of Europe.

I had to Google this character. I don't know him. (Apparently a 70's British TV show which didn't import to the States). But - Very cool work, anyway!

What a delightful and fun piece, Briex!!!
Yes, us Americans are not familiar with this Catweazle character since it seems this was shown on European tv and I had to google this as well. Very interesting character that's for sure!!!

Thanks for the replies. I have to admit that I was a little afraid of Catweazle, I was around 5 or 6 years. Catweazle was a wanderer/wizzard and he feared all modern things he encountered in the civilized world. I remember he had magic stone knife around his neck and a frog in his pocket. The British TV show 'Catweazle' had not that many episodes. I saw those on the Dutch tele without being able to read the Dutch subtitles. I have the Catweazle TV tune as an MP3 on my mobile.
Itīs funny, good and excellently capturing the character.
