Dug out an old magazine called art course (aimed at traditional art methods) as with all the new bits on artrage 3 I am able to apply the methods to my digital art work with pluses. I also found a new use for my music stand its great for holding magazines next to the pooter while I draw.
First piece an apple :) Done with the pencil tool the second is an Overly blend of red in watercolour just to give it a bit of colour.
Very nice drawing and interesting to see how you applied the watercolor on the sketch. Ha..ha. and like your idea using the music stand. :)

This is wonderful, Chibi! You've done a great job applying what you've learned from your art book. Your pencil work is very well done!

Thank you for your kind comments here is some more artwork done today.
The first is my first real attempt with the water colour tool ( still need to practise with that some more  )
The second is a still life using the chalk tool.

Chibi, love the apples. They would look good fused into one image ... much the same way they appear here.
The watercolor is fun huh? It's a different breed of cat but you're off to a good start. I'm still wrestling with it but making headway.
The still life is wonderful. It seems to sparkle.

Chibi, these all have a freshness about them that is quite fun!
Landscape and the still life are beautiful.

Continuing my work through the magazines I have done another still life with the focus on how the light falls. I have aimed for a charcoal effect using the chalk and pencil tools.
The second one is an extra layer added for my husband, as he said it's not a charcoal picture without the smudgy finger marks :D
