Import wetness?

Hello, I am having a little problem when importing a .psd

I made this drawing before I knew of artrage, and i'd like to make it look less crappy. so, i import it, but the thing is completely dry... and won't blend?

that's sort of lame... is there any way to add wetness without pigment so as the make the previous image blendable? I don't want to have to trace over it.

i'm sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I could not find it.

yep...if you load your image as a tracing image you can then use your options at the bottom of the layer pallet by clicking on the little right arrow you'll find there to "convert tracing image to paint on this layer"
